The long awaited debut EP from Orlando’s newest underground rock and rollers Radicalized Youth is finally out. Recorded and mixed by the band than mastered by Kramer(Shimmy Disc). Firing out six songs in just sixteen minutes this collection of songs is all killer no filler. These Rad Boys have been crafting this debut for sometime in between once a month engagements in Orlando. Sources tell me they are hard at work on the next EP. But you can celebrate with all the other woke folk on the 26th of this month at the official release show taking place at St. Matthew’s Tavern in Orlando.
At the show they will be screening the brand new music video for their single Majoring in Nothing shot on location in Orlando,FL with the expert help of Zampano Films. Then they will perform a live set followed by bathroom babies themselves Tight Genes. As if that wasn’t enough already the surf monsters from Alabama Daikaiju are back in town and will proceed to burn the place down at the end of the night.

How’s it flowing freaks? It’s now September which is always nuts because I happened to know an awful lot of Virgos and Libras. So the celebrations never seem to end which is always a fitting way to close out a hot and sweaty Summer.

So its been a few days since we have made it back from Austin for our showcases. Its taken some time to decompress and really take it all in. I still have trouble recalling everything that transpired over the 3 days of showcases in Texas smack dab in the middle of one of the biggest music conferences on earth.
We departed on Tuesday the 15th we settled on a 3 vehicle convoy consisting of Room Full of Strangers 15-passenger van, a rental van, and a honda hybrid. We loaded all the gear into the respective vehicles. We brought enough gear for what we joke that one of the venues could literally burned down and we would still be able to put on a show. The only thing we didn’t foresee happening was having our sound engineer ghost on us like 25 minutes before we were set to leave. Not like we were gonna let that stop us we just decided to split his duties among the remaining touring party. Continue reading →
